Tino is an independent English bookstore in Vietnam. We specialize in foreign books of various genres, such as fiction, young adult & teens, romance, money & finance, self-help,... 

You can use our website at https://tinoread.ing/ to buy English books or visit our physical bookstore in Ho Chi Minh City.

Information of books should be displayed clearly on the website, and we offer FREE delivery from just 1 book.

The cart shows the total order value and the number of books you need to order. If you have a promotion code / voucher, enter it in the final Checkout step.

• Support payments: Payment via bank (ATM/ Visa/ Master), or cash on delivery (COD).

A third-party shipping unit will be responsible to deliver your books. Please be careful when you choose Cash-on-delivery but want to transfer the money to your local shippers.

Can I custom order a book via the website?

Custom order books need to be customized. Therefore, you need to contact us.

There will be a bookseller to help find the books and send you their prices.

Environmental packaging: Reduce & Recycle

Tino commits to using recycled materials (kraft carton box, recycled wrapping paper, tape made from paper) and we reduce the use of plastic to minimum. Hopefully, this will bring lower impact to the environment.

For rainy seasons, there will be a biodegradable bags to protect books from getting wet. This bags are made from cornstarch and will be naturally decompose in 2-3 months. Cornstarch is the favorite food of microorganisms.

You get 1 complimentary bookmark for every book

Free bookmarks are printed on 100% recycled paper.

(The recycled paper is clean and has a hygienic white color like art paper. Therefore, at its highest thickness, recycled paper is still 80% thinner than cardboard.)

One-liner introduction

Our custom order service helps you to find & order any foreign books on-demand from the US/UK or European countries. Books will arrive in 2-4 weeks, and Tino will be responsible for taking care of all the tax, fee and transit.

You can order just from 1 book with only 50% deposit.

Why 50% deposit?

Tino asks you to pay forward 50% via bank transfer. This sum helps us to partially support us in getting the books home, as well as being a trust agreement between you and Tino.

You can pay the rest in cash (Cash-on-delivery) when the books arrive at your doorstep.

Does Tino accept book orders from Amazon?

Not quite. Tino is an authorized independent English bookstore. We ship books from authors and publishers and verified sources but not Amazon.

Amazon is a marketplace and there are still cases of unclear and unofficial buying and selling. In addition, Amazon's labor policies are often involved in scandals. Therefore, Tino only supports ordering books through Amazon in cases where the book has been discontinued or the author only distributes through Amazon.

Are the prices of ordered books higher than the prices of available books

Absolutely not. Tino offers the same price for custom order books as the ones available at the physical bookstore.

All the books will get the same benefit of free delivery in Vietnam, even for just 1 book.

Is custom order the same as "pre-order"?

They are different. Custom order is to order a book of your choice. Pre-order is to place early order for a book that will be published in the future.

Pre-order happens quite often for book subscription services, where you pay prior to the publication date 6 months to a year, and then, receive the books when they are printed.

Tino can only accept pre-orders that will publish in the next 3 months from the moment you deposit.

Can I order a special book with the author's signature?

Yes. Books with signatures are more popular as of now. Many independent bookstores in the US/UK open pre-orders frequently. Tino will help to order special books for you just like any other custom order books.

Can I cancel my custom order/pre-order when they arrive?

We don't accept cancellation for custom order books or pre-orders. Each book is imported for you and you only because this is a customized service after all.

Please be assure of the books you order to avoid any unwanted circumstances.

Will I receive updates from Tino during during the importing process?

Tino is working extensively to bring the books home. Tax, fee, paperworks. We won't be able to send updates for the books' whereabout during this transit, however, when there's a rising problem (such as delay or lost in transit), we will inform you ASAP.

Because the number of orders each month can be up to hundreds of books, Tino thanks you in advance for understanding and being patient. Rest assured your books is on its way home under the supervision of Tino's team.

DELIVERY

Depending on the location, there are options to choose from:

• In Ho Chi Minh City:

Same-day delivery: Send via Grab or AhaMove. Cost from 15,000VND is added at Checkout step. (Not applicable for far Districts, such as Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh, Nha Be, Can Gio)

Standard delivery: FREE. You will receive in 1-3 days with a tracking link sent via email when the shipper picks up.

• Outside Ho Chi Minh City:

Standard delivery: FREE. You will receive in 3-5 days with a tracking link sent via email when the shipper picks up.

In case of unforeseen problems (weather, shipping issues,...), Tino will notify you via phone or email.

PAYMENT

At the payment step, there are 3 options to choose from:

• Cash on delivery (COD): Receive books and collect money on the spot.
• Payment via bank (ATM / Visa / Mastercard): Pay securely using a debit card (credit card) or Internet Banking.
• Payment via E-wallet: Fast transaction via VNPay application or scan QR code.

Do you provide tax invoices?

We can't provide tax invoices due to tax policy. However, if need be, we can issue retail receipts (white receipt printed for you at checkout) or a formal paperwork with our signature to confirm for big orders.

Do you support credit payment online?

Credit payments are limited to low-value goods such as foreign language books. You can only checkout with debit card (you pay instantly for what you buy) or Cash-on-delivery via our website.

At the physical bookstore, we do support credit payment. Visit us!

Printing errors

You can exchange books with printing errors, including: identical pages, wrong/extra margins, missing pages, ink stains, or weak binding glue. All errors that affect the content of the book that you cannot read are considered printing errors from the publishers.

Exchange time (2 days)

Unread books can be exchanged within 02 (two) days from the time you purchase with the invoice. The exchanged book must have the same or higher value than the invoice. Tino does not support book returns or refunds at the time.

For those who live outside of Ho Chi Minh City, Tino can arrange shippers to collect and exchange books free of charge when the book has printing errors. In case of exchanging for a new book, Tino will notify you the additional shipping cost.

Exchange for a new book

You can exchange for another book (same title) or a new book (different title). If the price of the new book is higher, you just pay the difference.

Tino does not support book exchange for personal reasons when the book doesn't have any printing error.

Are pages stuck together considered as a printing error?

Pages stuck together are not a printing error. It depends on the cutting process when the publisher made the book. You can use your hand to separate it gently or a paper cutter.

Where can I report the error to Tino?

You can contact us for any problem involving the printing error.

To avoid sending back and forth, can I check the books when I receive it the first time?

Yes, of course. Our free delivery service provides checkup, which means the shipper should wait for you to confirm if the products are okay and not affected by the shipping process.

Some shippers don't ask, but you can actively ask him/her to do so. In case the shipper damages the box outside, you can refuse to accept it. Visible damage such as torn boxes or rain seeping through/wet the box should be a big no-no.

DELIVERY RECEIVING AND CHECKING

Step 1: When receiving the books, please check the quality of the box outside. If the box shows signs of scratches, damage, tears, dents, wetness, etc., you have the right to refuse to receive it and return to the shipper.

Step 2: Next, please check the information on the label, specifically: Book title and quantity, Recipient's name and personal details. Tino book boxes will have a teal-color tape on the carton box.

Step 3: Finally, you can pay to the shipper. If you checkout on the website with Cash-on-delivery (COD), you need to pay in cash to the shipper. If you checkout on the website with Bank transfer, then you don't need to pay any additional fee.
